Ethiopia Yirgacheffe Banko Gotiti comes from family-owned farms working with the Banko Gotiti Cooperative, based in the village of Banko Gotiti in Gedeb, Gedeo Zone, Ethiopia. Founded in 2012, the cooperative has around 350 members and is known for its careful cherry selection and high-quality coffees.
One lot is washed. After harvesting, the cherries are carefully sorted, pulped, and washed, then left to ferment for a short time. The beans are then dried on raised beds, where good airflow and temperature control help keep the cup clean and bright.
The result is super clean, tea-like, and full of fresh flavours. Expect lots of florals, juicy orange, and raspberry. Just like a great Ethiopian should be – complex, vibrant, and beautifully transparent.
Second one is natural – ripe cherries are carefully sorted and dried whole on raised beds. They spend several days there, regularly turned to ensure even drying. Keeping the whole cherry during drying gives the coffee more sweetness, fruitiness and body.
It’s sweet, thick and very jam-like in the cup. Notes of cherry, peach and sweet vanilla. Cheers!
