Actually, for the moment, about me, hehe.

In most descriptions, I use “we”, “our”, “us” because Klaro isn’t just one person – it’s a community of people who enjoy a good cup of coffee without getting frazzled, it’s folks who help me along every step of the way, it’s family and friends who support me and it’s YOU (And you, the reader too).

One day, I hope to expand the team and say “we” about “us”, your coffee dealers, who build and expand Klaro.

But…

Well, hello there!

I’m Maks and I’ve been heavily into coffee since 2015. Back in the day, I used to drink Americano with milk and Amaretto syrup. Currently, I can’t imagine my day without a cup (or maybe two, or three…) of filter coffee and a well-made cappuccino (before noon, of course).

My coffee experience

was gathered in a coffee shop behind the bar and in Poland’s leading coffee roasteries.
Over the years, I’ve brewed hectoliters of coffee, participated in hundreds of production and educational cuppings, done a multitude of barista classes and further qualifications on my own, consulted coffee shops, and participated in various coffee championships.
(and managed to take a few podium places).

I’d probably still be a coffee geek to this day but…

the turning point was the pandemic, which made contacting people almost impossible. This meant no classes, events, consultations, or championships.

So I had to find a new activity that met ‘lock-down’ requirements and I turned my passion into a job — I started creating coffee content. Making content seamlessly evolved into general marketing and that’s when I realized that high-quality coffee is often perceived as something complicated and distant. That’s when I came up with the idea of creating Klaro.

Klaro?

I took inspiration from the Spanish word ‘Claro’ – clear, distinct, understandable, obvious. The main idea of the project is to create a ”complicated” product in the simplest possible way.
At Klaro we focus on simplicity, minimalism, education and openness.
